Verses about endurance
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Romans 5:3-5

Practical help such as; gas gift cards, grocery gift cards, networking
*If you give to someone who's unemployed, don't do it anonymously. You may perceive your anonymous gifts as being selfless, but it may make the receiver feel unworthy of your acknowledgment. There is already so much shame associated with unemployment, that if you give a card or money or groceries without signing your name, it may feel like you don’t want to be associated with the unemployed.
